- Minimum age: 10 years old.
- Maximum weight for both canyoning and tubing: 300 lbs (136 kg).
- Not recommended for pregnant women.
- Guests must be comfortable in water and able to swim. Life jackets and safety harnesses are worn throughout.
- Guests with back conditions, heart conditions, recent surgeries or joint injuries should consult a physician before participating.
- You will be completely wet for the majority of this experience. Bring a change of dry clothing.
- Medium difficulty, the canyoning requires some physical confidence at height. The tubing is accessible to most fitness levels.
- Wear a swimsuit or quick-dry clothing. You will be completely wet throughout.
- Leave valuables and phones at the resort. The waterfall and river are not compatible with standard electronics.
- A GoPro with a secure harness mount is the best way to capture both activities.
- Water shoes or sandals with secure straps are required. Flip-flops are not suitable.
- Apply sunscreen before departure. All safety equipment, harnesses, helmets, life jackets, is provided and inspected before every session.
- Please inform your guide of any height concerns, medical conditions or swimming limitations before the activity begins.
We understand that travel plans may change. Our cancellation policy for tours and day experiences: cancellations made 7 or more days before the tour date receive a full refund. Cancellations made between 48 hours and 6 days before receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled experience are not eligible for a refund, although exceptional situations may be reviewed individually.
No-show reservations are charged in full. Guests are granted a complimentary waiting period of up to 1 hour after the scheduled pickup time; beyond this period, the booking will be considered a no-show.
Tour rescheduling must be requested at least 24 hours in advance.
Guest safety is our priority. Experiences canceled by Wild Papagayo due to unsafe water levels or weather conditions will be rescheduled whenever possible. If rescheduling cannot be arranged, a full refund will be issued.

Yes. Your Wild Papagayo experience is reserved exclusively for your group, private vehicle and private guide, no shared buses or other travelers added to your group.
Yes. Private pickup and return are included from Papagayo, Playa Hermosa and Playas del Coco. Pickup from other Guanacaste areas is available, exact pricing depends on your hotel location.
The full experience takes approximately 4 hours, combining the canyoning and river tubing sections, depending on your pickup location and traffic.
