  • Visitor identification details are required by SINAC for national park registration. After your reservation is confirmed, our concierge will securely request the necessary information for each guest.
  • Wear trail shoes or hiking boots with ankle support, the national park trail is natural terrain.
  • Pack a light rain jacket. The Tenorio highlands receive significant rainfall year-round.
  • Apply insect repellent before departure and bring extra for the trail.
  • Please inform us of any dietary restrictions for lunch at booking.

We understand that travel plans may change. Our cancellation policy for tours and day experiences: cancellations made 7 or more days before the tour date receive a full refund. Cancellations made between 48 hours and 6 days before receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled experience are not eligible for a refund, although exceptional situations may be reviewed individually.


No-show reservations are charged in full. Guests are granted up to 1 hour after the scheduled pickup time before a no-show is recorded.


Because national park access requires advance registration with visitor limits, rescheduling requests must be made at least 48 hours in advance to allow for re-registration.

Costa Rica's tropical weather can change quickly, and the Tenorio highlands receive significant rainfall year-round.


Tours normally operate in light rain, but safety always comes first. If conditions prevent the hike from operating safely, our team will contact you to discuss the available options, including rescheduling.

Yes. Your Wild Papagayo experience is reserved exclusively for your group, private vehicle and private guide, no shared buses or other travelers added to your group.

Private pickup and return are included from Papagayo, Playa Hermosa and Playas del Coco. Pickup from Tamarindo, Flamingo, Reserva Conchal, Hacienda Pinilla and other Guanacaste areas is available, exact pricing depends on your hotel location.

The full experience takes approximately 9 hours, including the drive to and from Tenorio Volcano National Park, depending on your pickup location and traffic.

Yes, a traditional Costa Rican lunch is included after the hike.

Yes, the Tenorio National Park entrance fee and park registration are included and managed by your guide.

Comfortable hiking shoes or trail shoes, a light rain jacket, insect repellent, sunscreen and a reusable water bottle. Swimming is not permitted directly in Rio Celeste.
