- Minimum age is 4 years old. Younger children must be accompanied by a guide at all times.
- Not recommended for pregnant women.
- Closed-toe shoes or riding boots are strongly recommended. Sandals are not appropriate for this experience.
- Easy difficulty, no prior riding experience required. Our horses are calm and well-trained for all levels.
- Guests with back or joint conditions should consult a physician before participation.
- Wildlife sightings depend on natural conditions. The trails are active with wildlife year-round, but encounters cannot be guaranteed.
- Pickup time is coordinated individually with your Wild Papagayo concierge based on your resort location.
- Sunscreen and insect repellent are recommended, apply before departure.
- Light, neutral-colored clothing is recommended to avoid startling wildlife on the trail.
- Binoculars and a camera with zoom are highly recommended for birdwatching and wildlife photography.
- Please inform your guide of any medical conditions or physical limitations prior to the ride.
We understand that travel plans may change. Our cancellation policy for tours and day experiences: cancellations made 7 or more days before the tour date receive a full refund. Cancellations made between 48 hours and 6 days before receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled experience are not eligible for a refund, although exceptional situations may be reviewed individually.
No-show reservations are charged in full. Guests are granted a complimentary waiting period of up to 1 hour after the scheduled pickup time; beyond this period, the booking will be considered a no-show.
Tour rescheduling must be requested at least 24 hours in advance.
Guest safety is our priority. Experiences canceled by Wild Papagayo due to unsafe weather conditions will be rescheduled whenever possible. If rescheduling cannot be arranged, a full refund will be issued.
