Before every journey, we believe you should know exactly what happens if your plans change. Here's everything you need to know — no fine print, no surprises.

How to Cancel

All cancellations must be submitted in writing via WhatsApp (+506 8856-6325) or email (info@wildpapagayo.com). Verbal cancellations are not accepted. Your cancellation is confirmed only when you receive a written acknowledgment from Wild Papagayo.

Private Journeys

Multi-day private journeys follow a tiered cancellation policy. Please refer to the specific terms confirmed at booking. In general:

Cancellations by Wild Papagayo

If we must cancel due to weather, national park closures, guide illness or other circumstances beyond our control, you will receive:

A full credit toward rescheduling the same service on a future date, or
A 100% refund if rescheduling is not possible or desired

Refund Processing

Most refunds are completed within 5–10 business days via the original payment method. Bank transfer fees, if any, are deducted from the refunded amount.


Frequently Asked Questions

Can I reschedule instead of canceling?

Yes — rescheduling is always our preferred option. If your plans change, contact us via WhatsApp and we'll do our best to move your booking to a new date at no extra charge, subject to availability.

What if my flight is delayed?

Contact us immediately via email or WhatsApp if your flight is delayed and you cannot make a confirmed pickup. We will accommodate you at no charge for the first 60 minutes of waiting. For longer delays, we'll work with you to adjust the plan rather than cancel.

Can someone else use my reservation?

Yes. If you can no longer travel, another person in your group may use your booking at no extra fee. Just let us know in advance so we can update the reservation details.

How are refunds issued?

Approved refunds are returned via the original payment method. Most refunds are completed within 5–10 business days. We will notify you by WhatsApp once the refund has been processed on our end.
