We understand that travel plans may change. Our cancellation policy for tours and day experiences: cancellations made 7 or more days before the tour date receive a full refund. Cancellations made between 48 hours and 6 days before receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled experience are not eligible for a refund, although exceptional situations may be reviewed individually.
No-show reservations are charged in full. Guests are granted a complimentary waiting period of up to 1 hour after the scheduled pickup time; beyond this period, the booking will be considered a no-show.
Tour rescheduling must be requested at least 24 hours in advance.
Guest safety is our priority. Experiences canceled by Wild Papagayo due to unsafe river or weather conditions will be rescheduled whenever possible. If rescheduling cannot be arranged, a full refund will be issued.

Neither of us had ever rafted before and we were slightly nervous at the briefing. Within ten minutes on the river, that feeling was completely replaced by pure exhilaration. The guide was masterful — calm when he needed to be, totally electric on the big rapids. The swimming hole at the end was the perfect finish.
The canyon is something else — you can't fully appreciate it from photos. The walls close in around you, the river pulls you forward and the whole world narrows down to the next turn. Having the raft entirely to ourselves made it feel like a genuine expedition rather than a tour. Truly special.
We brought our two children — 7 and 11 — and both handled it brilliantly. The guide was incredible with them, kept the energy high and always made them feel safe. The lunch afterwards, sitting by the water after all that adrenaline, was one of those simple moments that define a trip. Wild Papagayo thought of everything.
