We understand that travel plans may change. Our cancellation policy for tours and day experiences: cancellations made 7 or more days before the tour date receive a full refund. Cancellations made between 48 hours and 6 days before receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled experience are not eligible for a refund, although exceptional situations may be reviewed individually.
No-show reservations are charged in full. Guests are granted a complimentary waiting period of up to 1 hour after the scheduled pickup time; beyond this period, the booking will be considered a no-show.
Tour rescheduling must be requested at least 24 hours in advance.
Guest safety is our priority. Experiences canceled by Wild Papagayo due to unsafe weather conditions will be rescheduled whenever possible. If rescheduling cannot be arranged, a full refund will be issued.

We spotted a deer within the first ten minutes and my daughter simply couldn't stop smiling. The guide knew every inch of the trail — where to slow down, where to look, what each sound meant. It felt like having a private naturalist on horseback. Gentle, beautiful and genuinely unforgettable.
Neither of us had ridden horses before, but it didn't matter at all. The horses were incredibly calm and the guide adjusted everything to our level. The anteater we saw near the end of the trail was the moment that made the whole trip. We still talk about it.
The herd cattle experience was something I didn't expect to be so moving. Riding alongside the cattle, the way the Sabanero has done here for hundreds of years — there's a real weight of history to it. An incredibly grounding way to experience Guanacaste beyond the beach and the resort.
