Your Agreement

By booking any tour, private transfer, guide service or journey offered by Wild Papagayo ("the Company"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not proceed with a booking.

Booking Confirmation

All bookings must be confirmed in writing via WhatsApp or email. A booking is considered confirmed only when the Company sends an explicit written confirmation and the agreed deposit or full payment has been received. Verbal agreements do not constitute a confirmed reservation.

Payments

Payment terms are agreed upon at the time of booking. The Company accepts bank transfer, PayPal, Zelle, and cash (USD or CRC). Full payment may be required in advance for some services, particularly during peak season. Prices quoted are in US Dollars unless stated otherwise.

All payment instructions are confirmed directly by our team before any transaction is completed.

Pricing

All prices are per person unless stated as a fixed group rate. Transfer prices may vary by pickup location. The Company reserves the right to adjust pricing due to significant fuel cost changes or currency fluctuations, with prior notice.

Final pricing is always confirmed in writing before your booking is finalized.

Cancellations & Refunds

Please refer to our Cancellation Policy for full details on cancellation deadlines and refund amounts. Cancellations must always be submitted in writing via WhatsApp or email to be valid.

Changes to Bookings

Requests to change tour dates, times or services are subject to availability and must be made at least 48 hours in advance. The Company will do its best to accommodate changes but cannot guarantee availability.

Weather & Unforeseen Events

Costa Rica's natural environment is subject to seasonal weather. The Company reserves the right to modify or cancel services due to severe weather, road closures, national park restrictions, or force majeure events beyond its control.

When possible, we will always prioritize rescheduling your experience before considering cancellation.

No refunds will be issued for weather events unless the service is entirely cancelled by the Company.

Liability

Wild Papagayo and its guides and drivers are not liable for:

Clients participate in all activities at their own risk. It is the client's responsibility to have adequate travel and medical insurance.

Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for arriving at the designated pickup point on time. No refunds are issued for no-shows. Clients must disclose any relevant health conditions, dietary restrictions, or mobility limitations prior to the activity. The Company reserves the right to refuse service to clients whose behavior poses a risk to others.

Intellectual Property

All content on the Wild Papagayo website — including text, images, and itineraries — is the property of the Company and may not be reproduced without written permission.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Costa Rica. Any disputes shall be resolved under the jurisdiction of Costa Rican courts.

Common Questions

    Can I transfer my booking to another person?
    Yes, bookings may be transferred to another traveler with at least 48 hours notice, subject to our confirmation. Please contact us via WhatsApp to arrange a transfer.
    What happens if my flight is delayed?
    For airport transfers, we monitor your flight in real time and adjust your pickup accordingly at no extra charge. For tours, please notify us as soon as possible and we will do our best to accommodate the delay.
    Can I reschedule instead of canceling?
    Absolutely — rescheduling is always our first preference. If your plans change, reach out at least 48 hours in advance and we will find an alternative date that works for you.
    Are deposits refundable?
    Deposit refundability depends on the timing of cancellation. Please refer to our Cancellation Policy for the full schedule. In general, cancellations made 72+ hours before departure receive a full refund.
