- Difficulty: Medium. The suspension bridges involve walking on moving structures at height; guests sensitive to height or movement should let their guide know at the start.
- Zip line (Classic option): Minimum age 4 years old. Young guests aged 4 and above may soar through the canopy alongside adults.
- Monteverde's cloud forest is permanently moist. Light rain gear or a poncho is strongly advised regardless of the season.
- Trail surfaces can be slippery in wet conditions. Closed-toe shoes with grip are required for both options.
- The 5:30 AM departure from the Liberia area reflects the 3-hour drive to Monteverde. Guests from beach resorts will be collected earlier, see pickup schedule.
- Wear sturdy closed-toe shoes or trail shoes, the cloud forest paths are natural and wet.
- Pack a light rain jacket or poncho. The cloud forest creates its own weather and brief showers are common at any time.
- Bring a camera, the bridges offer perspectives on the forest canopy that are impossible to replicate from the ground.
- Apply insect repellent before departure and bring a small amount for the trail.
We understand that travel plans may change. Our cancellation policy for tours and day experiences: cancellations made 7 or more days before the tour date receive a full refund. Cancellations made between 48 hours and 6 days before receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled experience are not eligible for a refund, although exceptional situations may be reviewed individually.
No-show reservations are charged in full. Guests are granted a complimentary waiting period of up to 1 hour after the scheduled pickup time.
Tour rescheduling must be requested at least 24 hours in advance. Experiences affected by severe weather will be rescheduled whenever possible; if not, a full refund will be issued.
