We understand that travel plans may change. Our cancellation policy for tours and day experiences: cancellations made 7 or more days before the tour date receive a full refund. Cancellations made between 48 hours and 6 days before receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled experience are not eligible for a refund, although exceptional situations may be reviewed individually.
No-show reservations are charged in full. Guests are granted a complimentary waiting period of up to 1 hour after the scheduled pickup time.
Tour rescheduling must be requested at least 24 hours in advance. Experiences affected by severe weather will be rescheduled whenever possible; if not, a full refund will be issued.

We chose Plus specifically for the sloth sanctuary and it exceeded every expectation. The sloth we observed was close enough to study in detail — its grip, its slow deliberate movement, its complete lack of concern about us. Our guide explained the physiology brilliantly. But the bridges themselves were the revelation. Walking above the cloud forest canopy in the mist, with everything dripping and alive around you, is unlike anything I have experienced in decades of travel.
My son is seven and I thought the early start might be a problem. He was awake before I was. He chose Classic — the zip line — and from the moment he clipped onto the cable he did not stop talking about it for the rest of the day. Our guide was superb with him on the bridges: pointing out birds, explaining the ecosystem, making the whole experience educational in a way that held a seven-year-old's attention completely. As a photographer, Monteverde has been on my list for years.
